The partnership with C&D Products has been particularly impactful, creating approximately 6,000 jobs, including 1,000 new positions in the past year. “These job opportunities are crucial for economic growth and community development. I’m proud of how Pink Mango has contributed to improving livelihoods,” Mbonyumutwa said.
The company’s focus on high-end apparel, including padded winter jackets, has set it apart in the competitive market. “Our commitment to quality and innovation has helped us build a strong reputation both locally and internationally,” she added. Pink Mango has also generated about US$18 million in export revenue over the past five years, underscoring its success in the global market.
Future Ambitions and Strategic Goals
Looking ahead, Mbonyumutwa is focused on expanding Pink Mango’s operations and diversifying its product offerings. The company plans to increase its workforce to 10,000 employees and establish additional local factories. “Our goal is to create a robust industry ecosystem in Rwanda that supports growth and sustainability,” she explained.
Additionally, Pink Mango aims to explore new markets across Africa and diversify its product range. “By expanding our reach and diversifying our products, we hope to enhance our competitiveness and adapt to changing consumer preferences,” Mbonyumutwa noted. This strategic approach is designed to strengthen the company’s market position and drive future growth.
