The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is set to host a virtual Export Coaching Session on November 28, 2024, aimed at enhancing export readiness among Rwandan Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This event is part of RDB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the export capabilities of local businesses under its Export Development initiative. The upcoming session, titled “Certification and Quality Requirements to Export from Rwanda,” will bring together experts from key regulatory bodies to provide critical insights on meeting international export standards.
The session is being organized by RDB’s Special Economic Zones (SEZ) & Export Facilitation department and will feature presentations from the Rwanda Standards Board (RSB), the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (RFDA), and the Rwanda Inspectorate, Competition and Consumer Protection Authority (RICA). These institutions will guide participants through the essential certification processes and quality standards needed for successful exportation. This includes navigating compliance requirements, understanding international trade procedures, and gaining insights on entering new markets.
RDB’s initiative aims to empower existing and potential exporters with the tools and knowledge needed to expand their operations beyond Rwanda’s borders. The virtual format allows for broader participation, ensuring that businesses across the country can benefit from the expert guidance provided during the session.
The Export Coaching Session is particularly geared towards entrepreneurs and business owners who are either looking to start exporting or seeking to enhance their current export operations. It provides an invaluable opportunity for participants to strengthen their export strategies and discover new opportunities in international markets.
The event is scheduled to take place virtually on November 28, 2024. Companies interested in attending are encouraged to register by November 24, 2024, through the RDB website. Registered participants will receive a session link prior to the event.
By hosting these coaching sessions, RDB continues to support Rwanda’s strategic vision of diversifying its economy and promoting sustainable growth through increased exports. This initiative aligns with the country’s broader economic goals, aimed at positioning Rwanda as a competitive player in the global market.
