Uganda’s capital, Kampala is preparing to host a major Mineral Wealth Conference expected to attract over 1500 delegates, Taarifa reports.
The gathering (1-2 October) will be guided by the theme; “Leveraging Critical Minerals for Sustainable Development and Economic Transformation.”
The conference will provide a unique platform for stakeholders involved in Minerals to engage in high-level discussions, networking, and business-to-business meetings, ultimately promoting opportunities in the sourcing and development of Critical Minerals.
50 speakers, more than 55 exhibitors, over 500 Chief Executive Officers and 15 ministers will attend the conference that will feature more than 55 sessions at the Kampala Serena Hotel in Uganda.
Key topics will explore; Mineral Sector Governance and Regulation, Licensing in Uganda’s Extractive Sector, Climate Change and the Extractives Sector, and Critical Minerals for Sustainable Development.
Other topics will include; Investment Opportunities in Uganda and the Region,Value Addition and Beneficiation, Financing the Extractives Sector, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Extractives, Leveraging Strategic Partnership and Markets for Minerals, Environment Governance and Social Considerations, Emerging Issues with Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining, Emerging Technologies in the Extractives Sector, Risk Management Considerations, and Future of Mining, Innovation and Young Leaders.
